Abstract:
1. The reaction of 0-nitropropionitrile with Al(N3)3 gave 5-(β-nitroethyl)tetrazole. 2. The potassium salts of dinitromethane and dinitroethane were alkylated by 2-methyl-5-iodomethyltetrazole to give 1,3-bis(2′-methyltetrazolyl-5′)-2,2-dinitropropane and 2-methyl-5-(2′,2′-dinitropropyl)tetrazole, respectively, in good yields.
