Abstract:
The ethyl esters of α- and α'-oxodehydrodesthiobiotin when reacted with thioacetic acid in the presence of BF3 etherate respectively give the ethyl esters of α-thiooxo- and α, α-diacetytmercaptodehydrodesthiobiotin.
