A method of calculation has been developed to determine the glass transition temperatures of polymers containing fluorine and it has been shown that the calculated and experimental values of Tg agree with considerable accuracy. The specific effects of fluorine atoms and also of groups containing fluorine on the glass temperature have been determined.
