Abstract: On overview of electrochemical and photochemical methods to introduce a thiocyanato (SCN) group is presented in this review. Most attention has been paid to the literature data published since 2010 to present. This period is characterized by vigorous development of photo- and electrochemical thiocyanation methods. The chemistry of organic thiocyanates has attracted growing interest since these compounds are used in agrochemistry for the design of insecticidal, fungicidal, and bactericidal agents.
