Abstract: A three-step method was developed for converting both ethoxycarbonylmethyl groups of 4,4'-bis[3-(ethoxycarbonylmethyl)-1Н-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl]azofurazan into fluorodinitromethyl groups, enabling the preparation of the target 4,4'-bis[3-(fluorodinitromethyl)-1Н-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl]azofurazan in 74% overall yield.
