Abstract: 1. 1,1,2-trimethycyclopropane was synthesized in 41.7% yield by decomposition of 3,5,5-trimethylpyrazoline by Kizhner's procedure except that no pressure was applied. 2. It was established that 1,1,2-trimethylcyclopropane in presence of platinized carbon and hydrogen is completely cleaved at 50° with formation of 2,2-dimethylbutane.
