Реферат: 1. The stepwise mechanism of the addition of vinyl ethers to acetylenic glycols was confirmed. 2. The Intermediate products of this reaction — monoacetals of acetylenic glycols were isolated in good yields both by thermal and by catalytic methods, 3. The following corresponding diacerals were prepared from the monoacetals of acetylenic glycols by various methods; diethyl, ethylbutyl and dioctyl; the two latter were prepared for the first time. 4. It was demonstrated that in the preparation of mixed diacetals from the corresponding monoacetals, the main reaction is accompanied by a process of symmetrization which is intensified with increasing difference between the molecular weights of the radicals of the starting vinyl ethers. The result of this process is the formation of a symmetrical diacetal consisting of the product of substitution of the low-molecular alkoxy group by the higher molecular one.
