Реферат: New mononuclear tin(IV) complexes were obtained by condensation of diethyltin oxide Et2SnO with a series of Schiff bases containing a hydrazone fragment. The structures of the complexes were confirmed by 1H, 13C, and 119Sn NMR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis (CCDC nos. 2 451 176 (I), 2 451 177 (II), and 2 451 178 (IV)). Optoelectronic and redox properties of complexes I–IV were studied by UV spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry, and the band gap values were evaluated. Electrochemical oxidation and reduction of complexes I, II, and III are irreversible and accompanied by further chemical transformations. In contrast, electroreduction of complex IV with a pincer ligand leads to the formation of highly stable radical anion species.
