Реферат: Cumyl hydroperoxide was hydrogenated to α-cumyl alcohol with a selectivity exceeding 99% under ambient conditions using a 0.25% Pt/SiO2 catalyst prepared via an impregnation method. This catalyst enables us to achieve an exceptionally high turnover frequency (TOF) of 23470 h–1 (6.52 s–1), nearly five times greater than the TOF value obtained over a commercial 1% Pd/AC catalyst, and the highest one reported in the patents and publications so far. The developed method for α-cumyl alcohol synthesis under ambient conditions has demonstrated an excellent scalability allowing for the production of α-cumyl alcohol of a high purity in gram quantities at room temperature and atmospheric pressure.
