Abstract: The esterification of nitropyrazole-3-carboxylic acids with 2,2,2-trinitroethyl hydrogen sulfate, prepared in situ from trinitroethanol and sulfurochloridic acid, was realized for the first time. All polynitro esters were well characterized by elemental analyses, IR and multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, and the crystal structures of some of them are reported.
