Abstract: The electrochemical reduction of spirocyclopentylmalonyl peroxide in an aqueous medium is studied via cyclic voltammetry on a gold stationary electrode. Based on calculations using parameters of cyclic voltammetry recorded at different scan rates, it is concluded that the studied material underwent two successive one-electron reductions, and a scheme is proposed for its cathodic reduction.
