Abstract: The electrochemical behavior of tricyclic monoperoxide on a smooth gold electrode in an acetonitrile solution was studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV). It was found that the cathodic process involves the joint transfer of two electrons. In the anodic process, the electrode corrodes, forming gold nanoparticles. A mechanism for the reduction of monoperoxide to triketone was proposed.
