Abstract: A new efficient Pt/Sn–Ca/Al2O3 catalytic system has been developed for the direct dehydrogenation of ethane. It exhibits 84% ethylene selectivity at 700 °C with an ethane conversion of 15%. The Al2O3 support ensures uniform distribution of the active components and stable operation of the catalytic system.
