Abstract: A comparative study of n-butane conversion into aromatic hydrocarbons on a ZSM-5 zeolite in the H-form and modified with gallium or platinum at 530°C in the gas phase (at 1 atm) or under supercritical conditions (at 190 atm) is carried out. Under supercritical conditions, the catalysts demonstrate high levels of activity, stability, and productivity. Unlike the gas-phase experiments, the modification of a ZSM-5 zeolite with gallium or platinum in the processes under supercritical conditions produces no effect on the conversion of n-butane or the distribution of n-butane aromatization products.
