Abstract: A straightforward and efficient method for the synthesis of (1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)furazans was developed based on oxidative cyclization of N’-arylidene amidrazones of furazan-3-carboxylic acid using the accessible and non-toxic phenyliodoso diacetate.
