Abstract:
In recent years, organozinc compounds have emerged as valuable reagents for transition metal catalyzed cross-couplings and nucleophilic addition reactions. Tolerance of organozincs to common electrophilic functional groups such as ketones, esters, and nitriles in combination with intrinsically high reactivity of carbon–zinc bond makes them ideal for the synthesis of complex functionalized products. This overview highlights advances in preparation and application of organozinc reagents reported over a period of last six years.
