Abstract: Thermally expanded graphite, which was obtained from natural graphite as a result of thermal treatment with acids, was used for the removal of tetracycline as a typical antibiotic. The isotherm of adsorption of tetracycline was satisfactorily described by the Langmuir, Temkin, and Freundlich equations. The kinetics of absorption of tetracycline on thermally expanded graphite was studied.
