Abstract: 4-Methyl-1,2,5-oxadiazole-3-carbonitrile reacts with hydroxylamine to form 4-methyl-1,2,5-oxadiazole-3-carboxamidoxime, which turned out to be the useful starting compound in the synthesis of 3-(1,2,5-oxadiazol-3-yl)-1,2,4-oxadiazoles.
