7-[Pyrazol-3(5)-yl]4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1H-indazole and 6-[pyrazol-3(5)-yl]-1,4,5,6-tetrahydrocyclopenta[c]pyrazole, potential chelating ligands, were synthesized by condensation of 2-acetylcyclohexanone and 2-acetylcyclopentanone difluoroboron complexes with dimethylformamide dimethyl acetal followed by cyclization with hydrazine hydrate.
