Abstract: Electrolysis of malononitrile and cycloalkylidenemalononitriles in EtOH in an undivided cell in the presence of NaBr affords spirobicyclic compounds containing a 1,1,2,2-tetracyanocyclopropane fragment in 50—88% yields.
