Abstract: New energy-rich derivatives of 2-nitroguanidine were obtained. The synthesis was based on the reaction of 1-chloromethyl-2-nitroguanidine, which was obtained by chlorination of 1-hydroxymethyl-2-nitroguanidine with sodium azide or salts of N-nitramines. The synthesized compounds can be of interest as potential components of both composite solid propellants and explosive compositions.
