Abstract: A convenient preparative route has been developed for the synthesis of 2-azido-4-R-6-R'-sym-triazines, which are promising synthons in organic synthesis. A series of 2-(1-triazolyl)-sym-triazine derivatives has been synthesized for the first time from the obtained azides and acetylacetone or acetoacetic ester.
