Abstract: 5,(n + 6)-Dimethoxy-1-oxabicyclo[n.4.0]alkanes undergo a previously unknown oxidative rearrangement into ω-(2-methoxytetrahydrofur- 2-yl)alkanoic esters during electrolysis in methanol.
