Abstract: Using radioactive Isotope 35S a comparative study of C- and Al2O3-supported MoS2 catalysts promoted by Nl in hydrodesulfurization of thiophene has been performed. Ni content varied from O up to 3.5%. Promotion effect on thiophene conversion and catalyst sulfide sulfur mobility has been studied. C-supported catalysts have been found to have higher catalytic activity than analogous alumina-supported ones. Active site productivity in both C- and Al2O3-supported catalysts is the same but the number of active sites in the former is larger than in the latter.
