Norbornadiene tetramers exo-trans-exo-trans-exo-endo-dodecacyclo[14.9.1.14,13.17,10.02,15.03,14.05,12.06,11.017,25.018,23.019,21.020,24]octacos-8-ene 2 and exo-trans-exo-trans-exo-exo-dodecacyclo[14.9.1.14,13.17,10.02,15.03,14.05,12.06,11.017,25.018,23.019,21.020.24]octanos-8-ene 3 have been synthesized in 32% total yield, via Pd complex catalysed cyclodimerization of a known norbornadiene trimer exo-trans-exo-trans-exo-octacyclo[8.8.1.14,7.113,16.02,9.03,8.011,18.012,17]henicosa-5,14-diene 1 with quadricyclane.
