Crown ethers involving both a furazan ring and an azo group have been synthesized; the ring closure step, as a result of Ndouble bondN bond formation, consisted of oxidative condensation of bis[2-(3-aminofurazanoxy)ethyl] ether by dibromoisocyanurate.
