New derivatives of 2-methoxy-1-tetrazolylmethyldiazene 1-oxides bearing additional explosophoric groups were synthesized. The reactions of the appropriate aminotetrazoles with trinitromethane in the presence of paraformaldehyde gave trinitroethylamine derivatives and nitration of these aminotetrazoles with dinitrogen pentoxide led to nitramines.
