Abstract: Quaternary ammonium salts (QAS) containing gem-dichlorocyclopropane and 1,3-dioxacycloalkane moieties were synthesized (40–90% yields) based on pyridine, hexamethylenetetramine, and tertiary amines. The structure of the obtained salts was confirmed by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy data. The antibacterial activity of the QAS against bacterial strains (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, S. aureus, and Acinetobacter baumannii) was evaluated. The study showed that among the series of salts there are “leader” compounds exhibiting high antibacterial activity.
