Abstract: The reaction of 1-chloromethoxy-3,3-dimethyltriaz-1-ene 2-oxide with dinitropyrazoles produced the corresponding dinitropyrazolylmethyl-containing diazenium-1,2-diolates, 1-[(dinitro-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methoxy)]-3,3-dimethyltriaz-1-ene 2-oxides. The obtained compounds were characterized by 1H, 13C, and 14N NMR spectroscopy. The synthesized 3,4- and 3,5-dinitro derivatives were studied by X-ray diffraction. The densities and the decomposition onset temperatures of the new compounds were experimentally determined and their detonation parameters were calculated.
